Burke Bulletin #3
September 6th, 2024
Two weeks down and already it's September!
We have had a fabulous first two weeks of school. Students are mastering routines, expectations and procedures. Relationships are being established and strengthened through morning meetings, games, learning and many different experiences throughout the day. Every day we work to fine tune procedures with an eye on safety and community building. It is wonderful to see parents during drop off and pick up and have small moments of connection and conversation. Thank you, to all, for working with us to build a community of kindness, responsibility and safety.
Headed to recess!
Hello, down there :)
High fives for everyone!
Upcoming Events
We have a handful of community events coming up this month and in early October:

- September 13th: 5th and 6th grade will be attending an Art Day at Lyndon Institute.

- September 23rd: Picture Day! Please fill out the forms online, or on paper, by that morning.

- September 28th: Fall Festival in East Burke.
- No Preschool: 10/4, 12/20, 1/31, 2/14, 3/21, 4/4 & 5/9. These are days for PreK teachers to attend to all of the work they must do as PreK coordinators.
- SSIS Survey: twice a year, students in 3-8 participate in this survey. It provides our staff incredibly important insight into the needs of our students and what supports we can put in place to fully support them in all areas. Please see the attached letter for more details and information on how to opt out of this survey if you wish to.
Thank you, again, for working with us here at school to make these first two weeks such a success! As always, please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or feedback. Have a wonderful weekend!
