Please join us in welcoming Mr. Chris Carbone to our Grafton High School community! Mr. Carbone will be covering Ms. Paulsen's duties while she is on family leave for the remainder of the school year.

We are very fortunate to have Mr. Carbone join our administration team. He is an experienced Athletic Director in Massachusetts and he comes to us with firsthand experience working with the athletic directors and officials of the Southern Worcester County League and the Mid Wach.

Mr. Carbone's first official day will be Monday, February 3 and he will be working alongside Ms. Paulsen to learn our systems and prepare for the spring season.

On January 26, the GHS Student Council attended the Special Olympics Unified Bocce Tournament at Marlborough High School sponsored by the Massachusetts Council of Student Councils (MASC). Some were members of the two Grafton Bocce teams, while others were fans in the stands. All of our student participants represented GHS well and enjoyed the experience!

If you are looking for a copy of your official transcript or need documentation for proof of enrollment at GHS they can be requested directly on our GHS website.

Documentation requests are processed every Tuesday and Thursday. Please allow ten business days for all transcript, permit and documentation requests.

If you are a current GHS senior and need your transcripts sent to a school for admission, please contact your guidance counselor directly. This is usually an automated process through Naviance.

Parents who drive their students to school with ski equipment on Thursdays are asked to wait for drop off until you past the flag pole and crossing guard. Extra time is needed for your transition and it is best to unload at the bend, which is beyond the flag pole.

Many parents are unloading gear in the drop off lane closest to the middle school. This is causing traffic jams back to Providence Road.

When driving onto campus for Ski Club pick up, please find a parking space while you wait for your child. Cars should not be idling in the drop off/pick up lanes. We need the access lanes of the campus roads to remain clear for the return of busses.

Thank you for your assistance in traffic flow of the GHS/GMS campus.

We are doing video submissions for auditions. Videos can be submitted Jan 16-22. Once you fill in a cast form, you will receive an audition folder within 24 hours.

Rehearsals will begin the week of January 26th. Crew Meet and Greet will be on Thursday, February 6th. Performance dates are April 4,5,6.

Individual Class Meetings (Grades 9-11) with Guidance and Administration to review the Program of Studies will be held during Extended Block on the following dates:

• Grade 9- Wednesday,, February 5

• Grade 10- Thursday, February 6

• Grade 11- Friday, February 7

Class dues will be collected from February 3 to February 14 by the class advisors. All students are required to pay $100 in class dues. Payment can be made in installments of $25 per year or as a one-time payment of $100.

Dear Students and Caregivers:

We are writing to remind you that you are able to monitor daily and attendance period by period through your PowerSchool portal. Given the expectation that students cannot exceed five absences for semester courses and 10 absences for full year courses without the potential loss of course credits, please take this responsibility seriously.

Students who notice class attendance discrepancies on a given day should contact the specific teacher prior to the end of that school day to address the potential error. Attendance disputes regarding absences may not be addressed on days/weeks that follow the recorded absence.
