Just a few reminders to help the first day go smoothly:

• Doors will open at 7:10 am for carpool and walkers (please see MAP for where to park for walkers)
• Unfortunately kindergarten parents are the only parents allowed to walk their child to class the first day. All other grade levels must use the walker door or carpool lane for drop off. Please take your photos at home or in the parking lot.
• As you use the carpool lanes, please have your child exit on the left for safety.
• Everyone please be careful and watch for people in the parking lots.
• School starts at 7:40. Students should be in their seats ready at 7:40 or they are tardy. Doors will close at 7:38. If doors are closed students must go through the front office.
• There will be staff to help direct anyone that needs help. Please remember to ask, and remember safety first.

Students will need to come in uniform with their backpack and water bottle and a packed lunch. School bought lunches on Monday and Thursday will not start until later in the year.

New in the Handbook this year: Outdoor Drop-Off Cart Procedure (pg 10)

There will be a cart placed outside the front doors at each campus for anything dropped off during the day. Parents will not be let into the office to drop anything off except medications, glasses, and Chromebooks. Please label all items at home with your student's name as we will not have labels available and place them on the appropriate cart. It will be the student's responsibility to check the cart for any items that are dropped off, they will not be notified. The only items delivered to students are Chromebooks and prescription lenses. Lunches that are not picked up will be sent down to the lunchroom during each lunch period. We do not allow third-party lunch deliveries.

Be prepared to use school dismissal manager on Monday (if SDM gives us the green light). You have received an email. If you have an issues, please contact Wendy York in the office and she can help you (wyork@lpsfrisco.com or 972-294-6921).

School will dismiss at 4:00. Please use the tags you received at meet the teacher in addition to SDM it helps us to know which child to put in which car. Keep that sign displayed from your rearview mirror until your child is loaded. If you need to check your child out early please do so before 3:30. There will be no students checked out from the office after this point. The end of the day is very busy and this will help eliminate some of this if students are checked out before 3:30.

We understand how frustrating the first few days can be - please be patient and know that we are working to make it as smooth as possible.

We will be sending out further communication about the school supply fee. The district will be using a new system this year. As soon as it is ready we will be sending out communication. Fees will remain the same as last year $171.
