Leadership Messages π»
Thank you for your support
Our chapter as OLMP Gr. 5-12 Catholic School has now come to a close. We leave this school in very good hands and with many wonderful memories from the past. We wish students and families a wonderful summer and we look forward to welcoming many of you to Blessed Carlo Acutis (which we have officially received the occupancy permit and keys to - read more about it here!!!) next Fall.
Blessings,
Mr. Charchun and Mrs. Reinhart
Dear Parents and Families,
As a new leadership team we are excited to say, welcome to Our Lady of Mount Pleasant Catholic Middle Schoolβan incredible new beginning built on faith, love, and a deep belief in the potential of young people. While many of you are not new to the building, there will be a noticeable change this year as we embark on a new journey as a middle school. The middle years are a time of transformation: a beautiful, sometimes bumpy, stretch when students begin to ask big questions, test boundaries, and search for where they truly belong. Here, we want them to know without a doubtβthey do belong. They are welcomed with open arms, loved for exactly who they are, and surrounded by people who will champion them every step of the way.
We know that this time in a young personβs life matters. Itβs when curiosity deepens, friendships shift, and faith starts to take root in new ways. Our jobβtogetherβis to nurture that growth with compassion, high expectations, meaningful learning, and lots of grace. This year, we are creating something special: a school where your child will be known, challenged, celebrated, and guided toward who they are becoming. We canβt wait to walk this journey with you, Growing Together in Christβs Love. #GROW
With joy and gratitude,
Your New Leadership Team
Becky Gumpinger, Principal
Sharilynn Shakeshaft, Assistant Principal

EICS School Bus Update for 2025 - 2026 π
Dear Camrose EICS Families,
Welcome to Elk Island Catholic Schools (EICS)! This message is for families in Camrose who are registering for school bus transportation with EICS for the very first time for the 2025-2026 school year.
To ensure your child has a seat on the bus, we ask that you please complete the busing registration process, as explained below.
The EICS Board of Trustees has approved the new fee structure and fees for the 2025-2026 school year. Please visit the website at Fee Schedule.
For the upcoming school year, EICS will charge student transportation fees in Camrose. We acknowledge that introducing transportation fees is a change for returning families, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this transition. This change brings Camrose in line with the transportation model used by EICS in other communities and helps to provide students with safe, reliable, and well-managed school bus service each day.
If your family requires transportation services for the upcoming school year, please follow these steps:
Log into your PowerSchool Parent Portal (please contact your child's school directly if you experience any login difficulties).
On the left-hand menu, click on βSchoolEngage - Student Formsβ.
Complete the form titled βB.1) 2025-2026 Transportation Request Formβ for each student who will require busing services*.
IMPORTANT: Setting up a payment plan for busing fees before July 1, 2025 will allow you to take advantage of a convenient 6-month payment schedule, starting on August 15, 2025. Completing this step early will also help secure your childβs seat on their designated bus route.
Busing fees will be applied to your Parent Portal, and you will receive an invoice on June 17, 2025. Bus route assignments will be finalized once a payment plan has been established OR upon receipt of full payment of the applicable fees.
If the cost of transportation creates added pressure for your family, a fee waiver application is also available through our website for eligible students.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this important matter.
Blessings,
EICS Transportation
