Student-Led Conferences. We are excited to host our student-led conferences this upcoming week. Students will have classes on Monday and Tuesday. Staff will report on Wednesday and Thursday to host conferences. Friday everyone will be home and that is also true for Monday, February 17th. Our goal is 100% participation in the student-led conference portion of conferences. Parents/guardians are also encouraged to sign-up for conferences with any teachers where they may have concerns or need to problem solve how best to make their students successful this quarter.

Calendar Change. Please note that we moved the evening basketball games from Tuesday until Monday at the request of the competing school.

Final Picture Day. Starting last year we negotiated with our picture provider to take school photographs each Spring to capture all new students and complete any final retakes. This year the final picture day that will be included in our yearbook will be the morning of February 19th. Please mark your calendar!

Tackle the Test

I used a strategy I learned from a trusted adult. Each of our classes may have testing strategies that are content specific to help students. Also, each of our students might have unique needs that help them be successful during assessments. We encourage students to utilize at least one of the strategies that they have learned from a trusted adult. We want to encourage students and parents to discuss what strategies work best for their student.

Student-Led Conference Slide. Students will have a slide where they will discuss the strategies that they use regularly and those which would benefit them to use more. When the students are going over their slide about test taking strategies it would be a great time for parents/guardians to ask them more about how they approach assessments.
