Plympton Family Update
September 20, 2024
From the Plympton Admin Team
Hello, Families!
We made great progress in our second full week of school! Teachers have established strong routines and clear expectations and now academic instruction is in full swing.
Last week, we successfully conducted our first fire drill of the year, and I'm pleased to report that both students and staff demonstrated exceptional safety awareness by exiting the building swiftly and efficiently. We are committed to continuously enhancing our safety drill protocols to ensure our preparedness for any emergency situation. The well-being and security of our students remain our utmost priority here at Plympton.
Our School Resource Officer (SRO), Officer Dani, will be meeting will all classes to educate students on safety and to prepare them for ALICE Drills. We will have an ALICE drill once all students have received the lessons from Officer Dani. It is important to practice these drills so that students and staff are prepared in the event of a real emergency. For some students, these drills can be stressful and cause anxiety. We are committed to supporting the social emotional needs of all students while also ensuring that all students are safe. Please reach out if you have any concerns.
- Our first PTO meeting is Tuesday night, September 24 at 6:30 in the cafeteria. Please join us!
- We are so excited about our Multi-Cultural Night scheduled for this Thursday, September 26. We hope to see many families there!
- A reminder that cell phones and smart watches are not permitted at school. Students who bring these items to school must leave them in their locker for the day.
Thank you to everyone who has returned the emergency forms and the nurse forms. We are only missing 47 from the entire school! If you have misplaced the form, please reach out to your child's teacher.
Have a great weekend!
