Dr. Boyd visited lower school students this week for morning devotion and talked to them about doing their best through the last quarter of school. More importantly he reminded them about finishing the race that Paul described by accepting Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

Ms. Tucker's 3rd grade class learned how St. Patrick used the shamrock to explain the trinity.

St. Patrick used the shamrock, with three leaves on one stem, to signify The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit which is the Holy Trinity and a symbol of Christianity.

Mrs. Griffin's 8th grade Earth Science class has been learning more about fossils. This week they got their hands into the learning process and had their own fossil dig.

Juniors and Seniors took a trip to Chick-fil-A this week to eat lunch and celebrate their participation in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy. We are thankful for this opportunity provided by our local store and operator, Randy Earnest.

Our Cullman Youth Leadership students, Andrew Jones and Evelyn Griffin, spent the day learning more about "Quality of Life" as they visited and served at The Link, Hope Horses, Curt's Closet, and the CCCDD.

Lower school art students got creative this week as they learned how to draw different pipes and mix watercolors.

AHSAA Basketball Areas have been announced!

CCS will be competing in Class 1A, Area 14. Area teams include: Addison High School, Cullman Christian, Meek High School, and St. Bernard Prep.

Mrs. Driver, Mrs. Wilkins, and Mrs. Yearwood had the opportunity this week to visit BJU Press at Bob Jones University as they learned more about curriculum advances and options from this Christian publishing group. They were able to meet textbook writers and see the development and printing process. One of their favorite quotes from the publisher was a simple three-word tagline ---- "Eternity Matters More"

CCS families have the opportunity for FREE professional and confidential help with marriage, individual, child, and family issues. Mrs. Holly Powell, a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern, under the supervision of Mrs. Yearwood and Dr. Drew Jamieson (AL MFT License #322) will be offering therapy services at our school.

Mrs. Powell specializes in couples therapy and has spent much of the past three years researching the effects of ADHD on relationships. At CCS, she will be available to see students, families, individual adults, and couples. Her goal is to help people develop skills to improve relationships and begin to cope in healthy ways the challenges life throws at us.
