RoBee Report
Week of March 31st (Last week before Spring Break)

Principal Welcome!
Last Week Before Spring Break
Dear Global Impact Academy Families,
As your school principal, there is nothing I take more seriously than the safety of our students, our staff and our school as a whole. This week, as we head into spring break, I ask you to remain extra vigilant of behaviors that threaten the safety of our students such as fighting/aggression, and inappropriate posts online and in social media. Together with our parent team, our school team can ensure the safest learning environment for our students.
In an attempt to set expectations for student behavior and a learning environment this week that is free of disruption, our School Team will be doing some or all of the following:
- Review PBIS schoolwide expectations for behavior with students.
- Share with students that any student who sees or hears something that makes them feel unsafe should tell a trusted adult.
- Require hall passes for all students – no exceptions.
- Monitor students in transition and students in hallways by ALL teachers and staff in building.
- No student cell phone use during class.
In an attempt to set expectations for student behavior and a learning environment this week that is free of disruption, we need our Parent Team to do the following:
- Closely monitor and review your student’s online and social media posts.
- Every morning this week, check your student’s backpack for foods, dangerous items, etc. before they leave for school.
- Seek help from school if your student is talking about violence, is angry or making any type of threat towards self or others. Please contact your school’s counselor, administrator, or other trusted adult who can connect you with resources or help needed.
- If you become aware of any information that poses a threat to student, staff or school safety, call 911 if it’s an emergency or report to our anonymous FCS Tip Line at the following link: https://www.fultonschools.org/fcstipline.
I want to be clear in communicating any student behavior that leads to a threat in safety and/or a school disruption will result in the most severe discipline and police intervention available with a possible referral back to the student's home school. I will not allow any student(s) to compromise the positive learning environment and safety for our students here at GIA!
The responsibility for keeping our students, staff and schools safe is a top priority for ALL of us. Thank you for your continued diligence and partnership to ensure Students First, Safety First!
With gratitude,
Johnathan Hall

RoBee Shoutouts!
We want to take this time to congratulate Isaiah Reed for being named the first Governor's Honors Program finalist for Global Impact Academy! Just to give you some stats: 4,400 students are nominated for GHP each year. 1,500 students are selected as semifinalists, however, only 665 gifted and talented finalists are selected across the state to attend the program.
With that said, we are beyond proud of you, Isaiah, and we know you will represent GIA well this summer at Georgia Southern University. If you know Isaiah Reed, please give him a huge GIA congrats for this remarkable achievement.
It’s almost Grad SZN for the Mighty Class of 2025! To kick it off, we had our Senior Sunrise Student and Parent Breakfast this past weekend! A huge shoutout to Ms. Wilson and her team for the beautiful vibes, good food, and overall fun!
Yearbook Sales
Students and Families,
This is just a reminder that if you wish to purchase the GONNA-BE-AMAZING 2024-2025 Yearbook, you will need to purchase it on the TREERING website. It is NOT in OSP (Online School Payments).
Additionally, you have the opportunity to personalize TWO FREE PAGES in your own book as long as you purchase and personalize by MARCH 25!! Personalizing might take you a few days, so plan to purchase soon so you have time to do a great personalization for your yearbook!
Here are some articles and videos on how to design your custom pages using TreeRing's Page Builder.
https://help.treering.com/s/topic/0TOQg0000000ewjOAA/creating-custom-pages?tabset-a06da=2
However, you can easily use CANVA (on your school computer) to design and complete your two pages by setting these dimensions:
One single page at a time
7.91 inches wide x 10.41 inches high
You can place your two created images directly into TreeRing once you create it, download it from Canva, and upload the completed image into TreeRing
One double-page large image
16.42 inches wide x 10.41 inches high
You can place your single large image directly into TreeRing once you create it, download it from Canva, and upload it to the TreeRing program.
Please be careful about putting images in the center of your large image, because the binding of the book will cause the center inch to possibly be lost from view.
Happy DESIGNING!
