Dineout Night @ Currito TONIGHT December 6th
Currito is partnering with Kilgour Elementary on Wednesday, December 6th. 20% of all Kilgour purchases will go back to our school. This fundraiser will be hosted at the Hyde Park Currito location, and it applies for all in store, online and app orders. Type the word FUNDRAISER in the notes for all online and app orders on 12/6 for Kilgour to get credit!
Kilgour Choirs to Perform During the Mt. Lookout Luminaria Light the Night Event
On Sunday, Dec. 10th from 6:30p-7:15p the Primary, Intermediate and both Bell choirs will perform in front of Kilgour as part of the Mt. Lookout Community Council's Luminaria Light the Night event. Dress for this event is WARM.
Either before or after the performance be sure to join the Mt. Lookout Community Council and our neighbors for cookies, snacks, s'mores and hot chocolate in the Square business district. Refreshments will be available from 6p-8p. After you've had your fill, step onto an old-fashioned trolley to enjoy the beautiful lights of our neighborhood. Teacher/Staff Holiday Gift Fund
Collecting now thru Dec 11th
The Kilgour Teacher/Staff Holiday Gift Fund is a wonderful opportunity to allow all of us to express our gratitude to the 70+ dedicated staff-members for their efforts each and every day to help our children learn and grow. All funds are divided amongst all Kilgour teachers and staff equally and distributed the last day of school before winter break.
You can donate online here, Venmo @kilgourpta, or drop off cash or check at the front office in an envelope marked "PTA Holiday Staff Fund".
Donations will be accepted until Monday December 11th.

After School Clubs End of Session Information
Thank you to the families that have participated in after school clubs during the first sessions. As we prepare for Winter break, here are the dates that clubs will end.
- Chuy's Cubing Club... This will be the final week before Winter break. The advanced students will meet this Friday, 12/8. More details about the return of Cubing next year will be shared at a later date.
- Drama Club for K-3... This will be the final week before Winter break. Drama Club will resume with the current students on Jan. 2nd and run through Jan. 24th.
- Lego Club... There will be 1 make up session this Friday, 12/8. Information for the next session starting in January will be sent home this week.
- Visual Arts and Ukulele Clubs for K-6... They will go until 12/13.
- Chess and Crochet Clubs... They will go until 12/14. Information about Crochet Club starting in January will be sent home before Winter Break.
- Girls 2 Women will meet on Monday, 12/11
- Men of M.O.R.E... TBD parents/caregivers expect a communication from one of the coordinators
Details and Signups for Fine Arts and Chess Clubs starting in January will be shared in the December 13th issue of Hump Day Happenings! I'm currently working with our partners at ABC (Activities Beyond the Classroom) to determine what programming is available.
Champions Update
Champions Winter Break runs Dec. 18th, 19th, 20th then Dec. 27th, 28th, 29th. - Registration is online (just like how your hit enroll and enrolled for the fall school year). Secure your spot today!
- Cost $39.00 a day per child.
- Hours: 7am-6pm
All children need to bring a packed lunch- they can bring an electronic device for after lunch and after they read. If earned by reading, they will be rewarded with 15-20 minutes on their electronics.
Champions and School returns: Jan 2nd.
Inclement weather: Champions follows Kilgour School - if Kilgour is closed due to inclement weather, then Champions is closed. If Kilgour School has a delay, then Champions will have a delay (A 90 minute delay means Champions will open at 8:30a and so forth depending on the delay time).

After School Tutoring Available at Kilgour
Are you feeling like your kiddo needs a little or a lot of extra help with their homework and your family simply doesn't have enough time? Well, here's some great news for you... we have 2 former Kilgour students that are current student at Walnut Hills High School that would like to give back to their former school and students. Jack Arora and Cameron Bettinger have offered their time to tutor and be homework helpers with Kilgour students. These amazing humans are available after school on Tuesdays and Fridays between 3:30 - 5:30, starting Tuesday, Nov. 28th.

Once signed up, students should plan to attend the next available session.
If you know the Arora and/or Bettinger families please make sure to tell them that they are raising fine young men and we appreciate them reaching back to help Kilgour students continue to succeed.

Hoops Action This Weekend
Come out this weekend to support our Mustang ballers! Games @ Kilgour will start at 9a with the final tip at 3p on Saturday, 12/9. Action on Sunday gets underway at 10a with the final tip happening at 12p. With all of these teams and all of these games in our house, there's no excuse to not see your favorite Mustangs in action. Let's get behind our teams from the opening tip and cheer them on all season long!
