Moraine Beautification - Adopt-A-Pot
Happy Spring!
Moraine has six planters in front of the school and one can be yours for the summer!
Here's how Adopt-A-Pot works:
For a donation of $20, you will be funding one of the planters AND you get to take a beautiful pot home for the summer. Your pot/s will be available for you to pick up at the last day of school for you to water and care for over the summer, returning them right before school starts so our school looks beautiful on the first day!
Thank you for keeping our school beautiful!
Contact Janelle Justin at 586-489-4163 to Adopt-A-Pot! First come first serve!

Calling all Moraine Parents!
Help our Fun Fair Committee Raise Funds for Moraine
This year, we are hoping to offset the rising costs for our Fun Fair. If we are able to do so, we won’t need to relay those costs to our families in the form of rising wrist band costs. Any extra funds raised will also help the PTA bring more fun to Moraine next year!
We are asking parents to ask your their of business if they would be willing to sponsor this year’s Fun Fair. We have attached our sponsorship letter for your convenience.
For any questions, please contact Laurie Bohdan at funfairmoraine@gmail.com
The PTA Needs Your Help For The 2023-2024 School Year
Grab a buddy and join the PTA next year in planning and executing school events for our staff and students!
Does work not allow you to volunteer your time? Have one million and one things going on? No problem! Not all of our committees require tons of time and sometimes, an item donation may be all we need!
New volunteers will have access to the previous year’s documents via DropBox. Previous volunteers and your EBoard are also here to help - you will not do this alone!
To Sign up as a committee volunteer or miscellaneous volunteer, click here.
To learn more about what each committee does, visit our PTA website here.

The Moraine School-Wide Kindness Goal
This year, the Moraine staff and students have focused in on the area of our vision that speaks about KINDNESS. We all agree that if we were to focus on being more kind, the results around our school and community would have an incredible impact!
This month, the action step we are taking is about students sharing with others. You can help us out at home by talking to you child about what it means to be helpful in a shared community. We all share this space - whether at home or at school or anywhere else. Holding the door for someone, picking up a trash when you see it on the floor (especially when it's not yours!), asking what you can do to help....What can your family come up with?
One of our most important jobs as parents is modeling the behavior we want to see developed within our children. Join in on the kindness at home!
Parent Coffee Talks
The Parent Lighthouse Team is planning to host a “Parent Coffee Talk” once a month. Every month we will meet to discuss each of the “7 Habits of Highly Effective Families”. You do not need to have attended the parent workshop in October to join us for these informal “Parent Coffee Talks”.
The schedule is as follows:
April 20 – Habit 6: Synergize
May 18 – Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
These meetings will take place in Room 311 at Old Village School (405 Main Street in Northville) from 9:00-10:30 AM (except on January 19). Parking is behind Old Village School next to the library. Light refreshments are provided. Please bring something to drink and join us as we have fun discussing how to successfully (and at times unsuccessfully) implement the 7 Habits at home.
Please contact either one of us with questions:
Mindy Eichenberg (meichenberg@msn.com) or
Jami Knapp (jamiknapp@gmail.com).
