Scholarship Opportunities
2024-2025
YOU CAN ACCESS $ TO AFFORD THE COST OF COLLEGE...see the steps below.
Applying for scholarships and financial aid is an essential part of the college planning process. While many students may receive merit scholarships, all students may receive financial aid based on family income and resources. Seniors and their families should become informed about scholarship opportunities and financial aid (including but not limited to, the process for application at individual colleges and universities). Visit your college's Financial Aid website and contact them with questions.
Even if you think you can afford the total cost of college, you should still complete the FAFSA (Free Access to Federal Student Aid) form to access federally funded financial aid. PLEASE access the Federal Student Aid website and login to your 2024-25 Student Aid account if you have completed the FAFSA for a child who has graduated. If you are completing the FAFSA for the first time to apply for financial aid for your senior's education after high school graduation for the 2025-26 school year, you can create your StudentAid.gov account NOW!
Tips for Scholarships
- Consult college/university websites for scholarship information…not all scholarships will come through the Scholarship Newsletter.
- Be aware of all deadlines…are they “postmarked” deadlines or “received by” deadlines??
- Additional FREE scholarship searches: www.fastweb.com, www.finaid.org, https://studentscholarships.org/
- Remember to look for scholarships offered at businesses you frequent, employers of parents or relatives, and scholarships exclusive to the college you are wanting to attend.
- See the list below for other specific scholarships that have been advertised to us...
