2024-2025
March 1 - DEADLINE coming up to complete the FAFSA!
To be considered for any state financial aid money, you must complete the FAFSA form by March 1, 2025. You should include at least one Maryland college (can include Anne Arundel Community College) to be considered for any Maryland State Financial Aid. See the Maryland Higher Education Commission website for ALL state financial aid and scholarship opportunities. Legislative and Senatorial Scholarships are available to all of our students!
**For many scholarship programs, students MUST complete the FAFSA (free application for federal student aid) even if you don't think you will be eligible to receive federal financial aid!
YOU CAN ACCESS $ TO AFFORD THE COST OF COLLEGE...see the steps below
Applying for scholarships and financial aid is an essential part of the college planning process. While many students may receive merit scholarships, all students may receive financial aid based on family income and resources. Seniors and their families should become informed about scholarship opportunities and financial aid (including but not limited to, the process for application at individual colleges and universities). Visit your college's Financial Aid website and contact them with questions.
Even if you think you can afford the total cost of college, you should still complete the FAFSA (Free Access to Federal Student Aid) form to access federally funded financial aid. PLEASE access the Federal Student Aid website and login to your 2024-25 Student Aid account if you have completed the FAFSA for a child who has graduated.
If you are completing the FAFSA for the first time to apply for financial aid for your senior's education after high school graduation for the 2025-26 school year, you should create your StudentAid.gov account NOW!
