Principal Message
My name is Jeffrey Jones and I am honored to be the Principal of Cerro Villa MS. This is a homecoming of sort for me, having taught at CV from 2005 - 2014. I look forward to collaborating with staff, students, and parents to establish a culture of learners who embrace school connectedness (engaged in academics, activities, and student life).
A common theme you will learn more about is the "Win the Day" vision. "Win the Day" is all about each individual striving to do their best each and every day. They will have the courage to take risks, accept challenges, and embrace a "continuous improvement" attitude each day. We will try to achieve 1 small goal, allowing you to go 1-0 daily, means you are "winning"!
Mrs. Fernandez and I are looking forward to a great year and creating a "Win the Day" attitude at Cerro Villa!

What is the PFSO?
The Cerro Villa Parent Faculty Student Organization (PFSO) is a non-profit organization that assists the faculty and staff in enhancing the education experiences of our children.
The PFSO assists with many programs around the school, including dances, Student of the Month, Honor Society, and the 8th Grade Promotion Party. Without your support, these events would not be possible. Most importantly, the PFSO also supports the faculty and staff at Cerro Villa in acquiring items they need for their classrooms in order to enhance our children’s educational experiences.

Community Message regarding Inclement Weather: August 18th
Good afternoon, Orange Unified Community!
We hope you are having a wonderful start to the 2023-24 school year. While this is not a message we would expect to send in August about the potential for inclement weather in our community, we want to inform you about the proactive measures we have in place to ensure the well-being of our students, staff, and families.
As of this morning, the National Weather Service is reporting that Hurricane Hilary remains a category 4 storm off Mexico’s Pacific Coast. Heavy rain and wind are expected in Southern California by the weekend and possibly into Monday.
While weather can be extremely unpredictable, please know that the district is working closely with our state and county partners as well as with our local first responders to closely monitor weather conditions. As we monitor the conditions over the weekend, we remain prepared to make and communicate any adjustments to one or more of our school’s schedules if needed to ensure the safety of our entire school community.
In the meantime, we encourage you to stay connected with us through our official communication channels, including School Messenger and Smore, the District website, and our social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) for our latest updates and information.
