I cannot believe next week is June! We still have so much to do!
Earlier in the week, you received a June calendar with all the activities that are happening. What was missing are some of the field trips, your child's teacher may be planning. Please note the the family events and last two days of June are early dismissal days.
We are going to celebrate the unofficial start of summer by sharing our school spirit in two Memorial Day parades. Please prayerfully consider walking or riding in one or both of the parades with us. An email with details was sent out Tuesday evening.
This is a great opportunity to market our school and boost enrollment, especially for our early childhood program (preschool and pre-K). It will take a few of us to pull it off because we are tossing bags of candy with a label about our school and handing out bottles of water with a school label to adults along the route. We definitely need wagons to pull the bottles of water.
As mentioned before, it seems we should be winding down, but really we are ramping up!
You will see below the many opportunities for family fun, ways to help the school with marketing and fundraising, etc.
Kindness Calendars - Due by June 1st. (Every little bit helps our school.)
3rd grade recorders
3-8 grade Band Concert
7th grade placing flags at St. Mary Cemetery
PTO Meeting - 6:30 pm - Tuesday, May 30
Summertime Festival
We want this year's festival to be a huge success and it takes all of us! If it is a huge success, it will make a huge impact on how we fundraise during the 2023-2024 school year. See all the possible options to help below.
Spread the word!
This Is Our Faith: Pentecost is this Sunday!
Pentecost is the celebration of the person of the Holy Spirit coming upon the Apostles, Mary, and the first followers of Jesus, who were gathered together in the Upper Room.
A "strong, driving" wind filled the room where they were gathered, and tongues of fire came to rest on their heads, allowing them to speak in different languages so that they could understand each other.
The Holy Spirit also gave the apostles the other gifts and fruits necessary to fulfill the great commission - to go out and preach the Gospel to all nations. It fulfills the New Testament promise from Christ (Luke 24:46-49) that the Apostles would be "clothed with power" before they would be sent out to spread the Gospel.

Over the next couple of weeks, our students will learn about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Feel free to use the guide below to discuss them with your child. There are a few songs and hymns that remind us of the Great Commission: when we the disciples are called to carry on Jesus' work. A couple are below.
