💬 Community Poll: We Want to Know!
🙌 Favorite way to celebrate the end of the school year?
🔦 Spotlights: - VHES Husky Hoedown & HIIA Learning Centers
This week, our high school seniors returned to where it all began — stepping back onto their elementary and middle school campuses for TVUSD’s annual Walk of Gratitude.
Seniors high-fived future graduates, hugged the teachers who helped shape their journeys, and shared laughs and memories on playgrounds and blacktops that once felt so big. 🛝🏀
This tradition is more than a walk — it’s a full-circle moment. A chance to say thank you, to celebrate growth, and to inspire the next generation of Pumas, Wolfpack, and Golden Bears. 💫 #tvusdelevates
🎭 Standing Ovation for CHS Drama!
Chaparral High School’s drama department took center stage at this year’s Lucie Arnaz Awards in Palm Springs, earning nominations for both Outstanding Musical and Outstanding Ensemble for their powerful production of Sweeney Todd. Under the direction of Chris Irvin, the cast and crew captivated audiences with their energy, skill, and storytelling.
Adding to the celebration, lead performers Madeleine Green and Dominic Weaver were among the top student performers from 24 Inland Empire high schools selected to compete for a spot at the prestigious Jimmy Awards in New York City. We’re especially proud of Madeleine, who advanced to the top three finalists—an incredible achievement in a field filled with exceptional talent.
The Lucie Arnaz Awards celebrate excellence in high school musical theatre throughout Riverside and San Bernardino counties, recognizing the creativity, dedication, and hard work of both students and educators.
Bravo to the entire CHS drama team for this outstanding accomplishment—you’ve made your school and community incredibly proud!

"Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary." - Margaret Cousins
The TVUSD Community High Five Program is designed to empower and encourage the community to acknowledge and appreciate the dedicated employees of the district. This program serves as a platform for parents, students, and local residents, to recognize and celebrate the relentless commitment and hard work put forth by district employees.
Fill out this quick form, and the Communications Department will create and send a digital certificate to the employee for their hard work. As an added recognition, one employee will be selected each month as a "Community High Five Spotlight," and their shout-out will be recognized in a future edition of the Community Connection.
