An Update From SMMS & SMHS

We are writing to provide additional details and an update on the message sent this morning concerning a threat that was determined to be non-credible.

The threat was made through online social channels by an individual located in another state, who is not affiliated with Berkeley County Schools. It is important to note that no Berkeley County Schools building or student was targeted by this threat.

Berkeley County Schools would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Martinsburg City Police Department, the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, the Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, and the FBI for their swift response and dedication in ensuring the safety of our students and confirming that the threat was not credible.
