JES Expectations for students and parents:
- School starts at 7:55 and ends at 3:10. This means your child needs to be in the classroom by that time.
- Morning Drop off: The doors will be opened at 7:15 each morning. Students cannot be dropped off before 7:15 as there is no one to monitor students before that time.
- Please do not pick up students between 2:30 and 3:10. It is very busy during this time for the office to get your child out of class as they are wrapping up the day.
- Please make calls to change transportation before 2:00 each day.
Parents: Please do not line up for car riders until 2:50. This is going to help us keep our students safe. Thank you.
- If your child is a car rider you must pick them up in the car rider line and have your child's name card in your window when you pull up. Name cards have been given out. If you do not have the name card in your window, you will be asked to pull to the side and wait for your child. Car riders should not line up until 2:50. This is a system to help us keep all students safe.
- If you pick up your child from the main entrance while the buses are lined up, you must wait until all buses leave before you can leave. Please help us keep everyone safe.
- Attendance is so important! We are keeping a close eye on attendance this year and expect students to be at school and on time every day. We understand that there are times when an absence or tardy is unavoidable. We just asked that you communicate this with us. If your child is sick please call the office. Every time a child is tardy or absent they are missing important skills.
- If you are bringing your child into the building you must park and come in. Please do not park in front of the building at the drop-off line. Parents are not allowed in the hallways without a pass. You must get a pass from the front office if you are entering past the lobby.
- You can only bring store-bought food in for your child's class on certain food days. State law states that we can only have nine food days throughout the year. The food days for this school year are September 27th, October 31st, November 22nd, December 18th, January 31st, February 14th, March 21st, April 25th, and May 9th.
This means you cannot bring food treats in for your child's birthday. We will celebrate each kid's birthday for the month on that month's food day. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
