Deadlines and Save the Dates
Nebraska Youth Beef Leadership Symposium
The annual Nebraska Youth Beef Leadership Symposium will be held at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Animal Science Complex on November 8-10, 2024.
Please note the application deadline of September 15th.
The symposium is designed to introduce youth to careers opportunities and current issues in the beef industry, as well as offer education and practice in the use of leadership skills.

If an individual is selected to participate, a $75 registration fee will be collected at that time.
National 4-H Week
National 4H Week: Beyond Ready
National 4-H Week 2024 is coming up—October 6th-12th!
NEBRASKA STATE FAIR
State Fair Static Exhibitors
The Nebraska State Fair is no longer mailing checks or ribbons. They will be given to 4-H staff to bring back to your county with your exhibits. Please pick up your exhibit, ribbons and judges score sheets State fair project pickup begins on Monday the 9th.
The Office hours are Monday thru Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
State Fair Static Exhibits to be on display at Good Sam—Alma nursing home.
The Harlan County Extension staff will pick up the exhibits from the Nebraska State Fairgrounds on Tuesday, September 3. Following the pick-up, the 4-H exhibits will be displayed to Good Sam—Alma from Wednesday, September 4th, to Friday, September 6th for the residents viewing.

Forest Festival
Ready for FREE outdoor fun?
We are excited to announce the return of Forest Festival Family Fun Night on Friday, September 6th from 4 - 8 (admission ends at 7:30) at Horning State Farm Demonstration Forest in Plattsmouth, Nebraska! It's all FREE and this year's event will be a special one as we celebrate Smokey Bear's 80th birthday!
Free hot dog meals will be provided (first-come, first-served). Activities will include tree-climbing, inflatable axe throwing, archery, wildlife encounters, hiking trails, hayrack rides, kids' games, nature scavenger hunts, and much more!
Take a break from the digital world and enjoy the great outdoors with your friends at the Nebraska Forest Service and our wonderful partners. We hope to see you there!

Resources for 4-H Clubs and Leaders
Nebraska 4-H offers a variety of resources for 4-H Clubs and leaders. A 4-H Club is an organized group of five or more youth who meet regularly with adult volunteers or 4-H staff for a long-term, progressive series of educational experiences. The purpose of a 4-H club is to provide positive youth development and foster educational opportunities to meet the needs of young people.

Clover Kid Corner
Find a variety of resources, projects, and activities designed for 4-H Clover Kids, children 5 to 7 year-olds.
National 4-H Curriculum
National 4-H curricula are available for purchase through Shop 4-H. Shop 4-H has a large variety of 4-H themed materials, such as apparel, promotional merchandise, and pins and recognition items.
Livestock Information Series
The Nebraska 4-H Livestock Information Series is a resource for 4-H members, leaders, and parents to gain knowledge in various livestock-related topic areas.
