For those of you who have generously donated healthy snacks for our upcoming MAP testing days (8/19-8/20), we appreciate you more than you know! Parents and Teachers of Meadows (PTM) coordinated and created the Amazon wishlists. If you haven’t already opted into their messages, we recommend doing so!

If you have chosen to pick up your child on the East side of campus, we kindly ask that you use the Celebrations Church lot to meet up with your child.

• Please do not ignore the City of Phoenix parking signs.

• Please be kind and courteous to the staff members we have monitoring the area.

• Be aware that student walkers and bikers will always have the right of way as they make their way to the crosswalk and/or to their respective cars.

Our goal is to ensure the safety of all of our students and to model kind and law-abiding behavior as adults.

We have shared and reminded students of our dress code policy over the morning and afternoon announcements as well as during our PBIS expectations review. Now we need your support!

Please check in with your student daily before they leave for school and ensure they adhere to our dress code.

Students who are out of compliance will be directed to our nurse’s office to change into school-provided clothing for the school day. Read below a brief outline (the entire dress code may be found in the Parent Student Handbook and Board policy).

• All clothing shall cover undergarments at all times and shall not expose cleavage, abdomen, private area, or buttocks. Ensure shirts under sweatshirts are appropriate (sweatshirts often come off in the heat of the day).

• Shoes should be worn at all times. Slippers are prohibited.

• Hats are allowed to be worn, however, teachers reserve the right to ask students to remove them. Hats must be worn alone, and can not have a hood or another head covering over them.

• Clothing or accessories that advocate alcohol, drugs, obscenity, sex, or tobacco are prohibited. Clothing or accessories that display speech or language that is offensive or inappropriate to the limited forum of the public school environment are prohibited

Did you know that Madison Meadows has a group of faculty, staff, parents and community members that meet to discuss and help inform schoolwide decisions? We are in need of a new parent representative at the 5th grade level. If you are interested in being a part of the Meadows Site Council, please contact Katy Clark (kclark@madisoned.org). The Site Council will follow our bylaws (see attachment) to choose new members.

Paperwork is coming home with your 5th grader today. Please check their backpacks!

Picture order forms are coming home with students today

The $50 district-accessed activity fee is used to enhance students' school experience in several ways. It covers the cost of recess equipment, which helps keep students active and engaged. It funds school events focused on character development, providing valuable lessons and activities. Additionally, it supports guest speakers, pep rallies, and author visits, all of which contribute to a vibrant and enriching school environment. If anyone needs assistance with the fee, please email meadowsoffice@madisoned.org for support.
