News & Information for Tiger Families
Letter from the Principal
Tiger Families,
This week was an amazing week of prayer and community as our students and staff donned orange for Adam. Thank you to everyone who attended mass on Wednesday and prayed the rosary with the St. Teresa Students. As Father Joseph said, "When you go home , pray every day, and don't forget to pray for Adam."
Wednesday, September 11th we invite Grandparents to join us for mass at 8:30am. Immediately, following mass Grandparents are encourage to visit with their student(s) at St. Teresa School.
Students will be dismissed at 11:30am. THERE IS NO EXTENDED CARE ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11th. Looking for a place to eat lunch on Wednesday? St. Teresa PTO is having a fundraiser at Bennies, mention St. Teresa when ordering and part of the proceeds will come back to St. Teresa School. That's a win win, pizza and a good cause!

This week our students and staff received very meaningful and touching gifts from the Beck family (from Mascoutah) who regularly attend Adoration at the Adoration Chapel at Church. The Beck family had learned of Adam’s story through social media and their involvement at Holy Childhood School. They were moved by Adam’s story and our call to rally behind the Brandts because one of their sons battled the same type of leukemia 7 years ago and is currently in remission. The Beck family was able to give all students and staff third class relics of Blessed Carlo Acutis. These relic cards were in contact with a first class relic (strains of Carlo’s hair). The Beck’s oldest son, Isaac, who served as a missionary this past summer, was the guardian of this relic for a month from June to July, receiving it from a woman bringing it from France to the Eucharistic Congress. He was able to hold this relic while donating white blood cells to a man with leukemia. Isaac then went on to spend his time as a missionary telling the story of Carlo’s life and love for Jesus in the Eucharist and sharing these relic cards. The Becks share these with us as “it is His story of healing and hope.”
Isaac donating white blood cells to a man who had leukemia while holding the relic. He received the relic just days before from a woman who said the Lord told her to let him have it.

Annual Grizzlies Game - September 7
Come on out to Grizzlies Stadium on Saturday, September 7 in support of both our boys' baseball team and a couple of our Tiger softball players! It is such a fun night for all ages-there's tailgating before and after the games, watching the Twirl Girls perform, listening to our student choir sing, and cheering on our players-what's not to enjoy?! (Tailgating specifics coming soon)
Please click the link below in order to purchase tickets online. IF you wait to purchase at the gate, NONE of those funds can be used to help STAA offset rental of the Stadium. PLEASE consider purchasing in advance so that we can continue this awesome tradition. NOTE: players, coaches, Twirl Girls, and student choir members DO NOT need to purchase a ticket, all other fans do! Thank you so much and hope to see you at the park!
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming Sep 8–Sep 12.
Our students are excited to shop for their own books and every purchase at the Fair benefits our school! For more info, visit https://scholastic.com/bf/stteresacatholicschool2.
