Give your students some extra credit by sending them to the Learning Commons for a Treasure Hunt through September 16. This activity familiarizes students with valuable services and spaces in the Learning Commons. Students can ask for a Treasure Hunt sheet at the library front desk and select a small prize after completion.

The library team transferred over 100 alumni stories from the soon to be retired Middlesex Community College website to the library LibGuides system. It was inspiring to reflect upon the impact that Middlesex has had on so many lives. Preserving this legacy was an extensive and meaningful library project.

Over the summer, the Library created an online archive of Middlesex Community College Catalogs from 1967-2023. The library team created digital files and made them accessible through the library catalog. These catalogs contain the history of MxCC, with pictures, descriptions of student life and activities, and a record of all programs and classes offered by the college. Take a look, you'll be surprised at what you find!

Extensive primary source collections from HeinOnline related to Civil Rights and Social Justice are now available to you through the library.

Digital/Systems librarian Lisa Gugliotti presented "Mentoring Library Student Workers: Discovering Opportunities to Explore their Potential" at the CSCU Library Consortium's Summer Retreat. This presentation showcased the ways the library develops and mentors student workers, allowing them to build valuable job skills. The presentation was very well received by peer colleagues.

Hi, I’m Lauren O’Neill, EA Librarian. I work at the front desk and via chat answering questions from students. I also visit classes and teach students how to find information and access library resources. In my free time, I enjoy reading, with my favorite genres being fantasy and science fiction. I also enjoy writing, and I’m currently working on several fantasy stories that I hope to publish soon. I’m grateful to have joined such a great team, and I look forward to meeting all of you!
