The Mini Maverick Messenger is our monthly PTA newsletter for our wonderful Ogle families filled with upcoming events, fundraisers, photos, volunteer opportunities, & other information from your PTA. You can always find a copy of the newsletter on our PTA website at https://www.ogleelempta.com/.

The PTA is still looking for volunteers to help with a few board positions for the 2025-26 school year! We’re all about creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community where everyone feels heard, valued, and involved. Your ideas, energy, and passion are what make our school shine!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Spring Book Fair! Your support made it a wonderful success, and we are so grateful for the time and effort from all our volunteers, as well as the families who attended and purchased books. The kids and classrooms are already enjoying their new books, and it’s amazing to see their excitement for reading! Promoting literacy and a love of books is so important, and your involvement helps nurture that passion in our community. Thank you for helping make this event such a success!

Our PTA invited Brian Whittington to present a wild & fun science program to Ogle called The Yuck Show! The room was full of wows, laughter, and smiles as volunteers came up on stage to participate in the game show. For the grand finale our team captains were both slimed!

Thank you to our Ogle Ohana who came out and skated at our Spirit Night! Whether you were zipping around the rink or enjoying the fun from the sidelines, your smiles and energy made it a fantastic event. Can’t wait to see you at the next one!

For the month of April, our PTA is excited to recognize Alli Caldwell! You may recognize her from our book fairs, as Alli has served as our Book Fair Chair for the past two years. Thanks to her efforts, our book fairs are always well-organized and run smoothly. She also takes the time to welcome all the volunteers, fostering a friendly atmosphere where everyone feels appreciated and valued. Alli is approachable, kind, and always ready to lend a hand! Beyond the book fair, she has supported our Ogle Ohana by volunteering as a room parent, contributing to various special committees, and serving as our Spirit Wear Chair. We are incredibly grateful for all the ways she supports our students, staff, and the Ogle community.

Beyond her Ogle PTA contributions, Alli works at the Allen Public Library, serves as the Book Fair Chair for the Wortham PTA, and is an amazing mom to Jordan and Wesley. Thank you, Alli, for everything you do!

Frisco ISD Board Policy requires that each volunteer undergo a background check before working with students. You will be prompted to complete the background check during your Voly account creation. Keep an eye on your inbox for your background check approval (the process can take up to 3-5 business days.) If you signed up previously, please note that a new background check must be completed each school year as required by Frisco ISD!

1. Work Room Volunteers: Support our teachers by helping with lamination, cutting, sorting, stapling, etc. *All materials provided and younger siblings are welcome to join*

2. Watch D.O.G.S. (any male figure (or female!)): Spend the day on campus volunteering with your student & helping in your child's classroom

3. Mav Money Store Volunteers: Help run the MAV MONEY store during students' lunches
