Pizza Time!
Take a break over this long weekend and let Sorrento Pizza do the cooking! This is a fundraiser for our RMS Academies. Tell them your 1st hour R time teacher and earn "Spirit Points" for your team. 59900 Campground location only.
★ 6th Grade:
6th graders will start hearing more talk about 7TH GRADE here in the near future!! Mrs. Skover will be starting 7th grade presentations & scheduling discussions during the last week of January. We are going to be using an online Google Form this year to select electives instead of a paper copy. More information to come!
6th grade teams & Mrs. Ebert had “Team Talks” last week to remind students of our expectations in school, and remind them what it means to be kind & the importance of it. We encourage you to have frequent discussions at home about your children’s friends groups and the importance of being a good person.
★ 7th Grade
Here at RMS, the students celebrate “Good Things” with their teachers and classmates nearly everyday in every class. It’s a family friendly way to check in, and takes less than a minute:
Just say….
Tell me 1-2 Good Things About Your Day.
Then share 1-2 good things from YOUR day.
Some other conversation starters:
What is something happening at school that you’re looking forward to?
What is your favorite class and why?
What is something you’re grateful for?
Who is your best friend?
At this point in the year, all students should know how to access their school email, AND check it regularly. Please ensure that your child is able to do so. A Google Form to schedule for 8th grade will be sent on Tuesday, January 27th at 430pm. Therefore, it is imperative that students can access their school email
It is also required for parents to complete this form with their child.
Thank you and I look forward to introducing the paperless method!
★ 8th Grade
R-E-S-P-E-C-T!!!
This month our focus in R-Time has been respect and our 8th grade students have been leading the middle school with showing respect to each other and toward the adults in this building. Keep up the good work!
College Board Account Reminder:
Students will need to have an email account, other than their school email. This is done because students can access this account after they graduate from high school. They will also need a cell phone number to use for security purposes or if they forget their password. If a student does not have a cell phone, they may use their parent’s number. It would be extremely helpful if you could help your student create an alternate email account if they do not already have one. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. Thank you.
