Dear Steck Families,

One week to go until winter break! This is an exciting time of year with many celebrations and traditions. Each year in December we celebrate before winter break with our PTA assembly. We look forward to it next Thursday!

At this time of year families often ask about giving gifts to teachers and staff. The Steck PTA put together a staff goody list. You can view it here. Of course this is optional - staff always appreciate all the kindness shown to them.

Did you know...

In the month of December we honor many family celebrations and traditions including the Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and others. Most importantly is learning that our community is made up of many backgrounds!

If your child will start winter break early next week, please be sure to contact the Steck office. If your child will not return to school on January 6, please contact the Steck office.

PTA Spelling Bee

Exciting news! The eagerly anticipated Spelling Bee event is just around the corner. We are thrilled to announce the Spelling Bee competition for 3rd to 5th graders.

Event Details:

· First Round: January 22nd, 2025 (written test)

· Final Round: February 4th, 2025 (verbal test, finalists only)

· Time: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

· Venue: Steck Elementary School

Registration Information:

To participate, kindly register your child by the final date of January 15, 2025. Don't miss out on the chance for your child to showcase their spelling prowess!
