January 2025

Happy New Year!
Chapter 2025
...and just like that, we have welcomed a new year, 2025!
I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful, restful break!
This month we will begin by reviewing library rules and procedures, learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, the Lunar New Year, and continue to learn about digital resources that are available.
May the new year be filled with lots of learning, reaching goals, and reading!
Reminder!
Teachers Get Your READ Posters Too!
As we enter the new year, I simply wanted to remind all the Glenn staff to participate in our READ poster initiative.
I would love to create a READ poster for each of you that can be displayed around the school so our students can see that we are readers too. You can send me a picture of yourself with one of your favorite books or I can snap a picture of you, just reach out and we can set a date and time that works for you.
Let's share our love of reading!

TUMBLEBOOKS is Amazing!
Resource of the Month
Tumblebooks is an amazing resource!
Tumblebooks has an amazing collection of books that can be used for independent reading, small group, whole group lessons and so much more! The Tumblebook Library provides access to storybooks, eBooks, Read alongs, graphic novels, nonfiction, books in Spanish, videos and more.
I have included a short video explaining how to access this resource and have highlighted some of its features. I will also be sharing this resource with students when they come to the library, but please take advantage of this amazing resource before it's too late!
Have a Book Suggestion?
What Books Would You Like Added to the Shelves
I have placed book orders and am including any books that have been requested in planning that we currently do not have. I will be placing a couple more orders and would like to see if you have any suggestions.
Click the button below to add your book suggestions, and I will see if it is available.
Thank You to the December Library SMORE Winners!
Last month, I decided to offer a little treat for taking the time to read my library SMORE and these are the December winners! I was originally going to input all names into a digital wheel and reward 2 lucky winners. However, I only had 3 entries, so I decided to reward all three! They each won a $5 Starbucks gift card and a $10 Scholastic gift certificate to spend at our Spring Book Fair!
Let's Do It Again!
As a token of appreciation, I want to gift two people a Chick Fil A gift card just for taking the time to read my SMORE.
Please fill out the form below to enter a raffle for a chance to win. I will enter all names on Wednesday, January 22nd into a digital wheel and spin to select two lucky winners!! If you are unable to access the Google Form because you are not on the district network, simply send me a Google Chat saying that you read the SMORE and I will add your name to the raffle!
