4th Grade Language Arts Service Projects
Part of fourth grade's language arts unit is to create a service project. A couple of classes need your help.
- Ms. Chamberlain's Class - Cuddles & Crayons
- Ms. LaFontaine's Class - Animal Shelter Donations
- Mrs. Oliver's Class - Kindness Krew
- Mrs. Stenzel's Class - Bird Houses
- Mrs. Weingarten's - Fresh Food Friday
Ms. Chamberlain's 4th grade class has been busy learning about Doing Something Meaningful this semester in class. They were tasked with coming up with ideas on how they could do something meaningful in our community. As a class, they chose to donate stuffed animals to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta for kids with chronic and terminal illnesses. After partnering with CHOA, another need came to light - they are in need of crayons as well. So, Ms. Chamberlain's class project is CUDDLES & CRAYONS 4 CHOA! May 14th-May 17th, they will be collecting NEW stuffed animals and boxes of crayons, but they need your help! Help us to help kids in need - Bring your donations to Ms. Chamberlain's class:)
Mrs. Weingarten's class has been learning about how kids can make a difference in their communities. After doing some research and discussion, we decided to have a food drive with Fresh Food for people in need. We are hosting Fresh Food Friday on Friday, May 17th. Please send in fresh food items on Thursday, May 16th or Friday, May 17th. See the attached list for ideas.
