AISD Parenting University presents: ScreenAgers - Friday, Nov. 15!
Aledo ISD's Parenting University presents a free screening of the newly release documentary film Screenagers: Elementary Edition. This version of the original Screenagers movie addresses issues that are specific and targeted to the parents of elementary school-aged kids and the challenges they are facing - parenting challenges like when to get kids smart phones, how much screen time is enough, unhooking from and monitoring video gaming, social media pressures, exposure to screens at too young of an age. What research shows is a healthy amount of screen time, as well as other practical solutions for parents, is included. This is a must see for parents of young children trying to navigate the tech-crazy world kids are growing up in!
This screening will be from 8:45-10:15 a.m. on Friday, November 15, in the Aledo High School lecture hall.

All in Aledo: Bringing the Magic to the Field
We know our Bearcat Community is #AllinAledo on Friday nights, but this year we're taking a closer look at all that goes into the Friday Night Magic in and around Tim Buchanan Stadium and even on the road during football season.
As the Bearcat Regiment reaches an emotional crescendo, the Aledo High School Color Guard adds a touch of magic to the performance. Through a blend of dance, flags, rifle, and sabers, the Color Guard brings the show to life with dynamic choreography and acrobatic feats. They tug at the audience’s heartstrings and command attention with every movement.
The Color Guard’s commitment spans nearly the entire year: they start practice in June, perform throughout the marching season, and compete in Winter Guard events until May. It takes immense dedication to master the art of running, dancing, and tossing flags, rifles, and sabers with grace, all perfectly synchronized to the music. In addition to their performances on the field, the Color Guard joins the band in the stands - singing, dancing and chanting to maintain high energy throughout the game. Alongside the band, they electrify the crowd, inspiring the Bearcats and fueling the drive to victory!
National Junior Art Honor Society in the Community!
Aledo Middle School National Junior Art Honor Society members have logged in over 80 volunteer service hours! They love fellowship, spending time in the art room, face painting and making gifts for new teachers!
