This week is September 16-19, 2024. This week we start looking at the dance for the Hispanic Heritage event. We are very excited about this opportunity.

- Please send a water bottle to school with your student.
- It is going to be hot over the next few weeks. This means we might not always be able to go outside for recess but we will have indoor recess.

What We Are Doing This Week
Math:
Monday - Solve one-step word problems involving metric weights within 100 and estimate for reasonable solutions
Tuesday - Decompose a liter to reason about the size of 1 liter, 100 milliliters, and 1 milliliter
Wednesday - Estimate and measure liquid volume in liters and milliliters using the vertical number line.
Thursday - Solve mixed word problems involving all four operations with grams, kilograms, liters and milliliters given in the same units.
Science:
We will identify everyday examples of energy, including light, sound, thermal, and mechanical.
