NEWSLETTER | TERM 1 | WEEK 9 | 3 APRIL 2025
It's hard to believe that Term One is almost over! This week has been another busy one filled with various school activities. A huge thank you to our incredible staff for their dedication and hard work throughout the term, it is truly appreciated!
Today, our school was a sea of orange as we celebrated Assisi House Day. Assisi House is named after St Francis of Assisi, the founder of the Franciscan Order and the patron saint of animals and the natural environment. St Elizabeth was deeply inspired by his teachings, embodying humility in her actions and dedicating her life to the Third Order of St Francis. To honour this legacy, our students raised much-needed funds and donated clean blankets, towels, and new animal toys to the RSPCA. A big thank you to our Assisi staff for organising the celebrations, including an RSPCA incursion.
A reminder that Friday, April 11, is a Student Free Day as all staff will be attending an off-site professional learning day. Camp Australia is still accepting enrolments for care on this day, and parents can register via their website or app.
Finally, please keep our Year Six students in your thoughts and prayers as they attend their Commitment Mass this weekend at St Anthony of Padua Parish in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend!
God bless

Week 9
Dear parents and caregivers,
I can’t believe we are already approaching the last week of term! It has been a busy and exciting time, with plenty of great learning experiences for our students. Here are some important updates for the coming days:
Interschool Swimming Carnival – Best of Luck!
Tomorrow, selected students will be representing our school at the Interschool Swimming Carnival. We wish them all the best in this competition and know they will do us proud!
Whadjuk Gift Day – Thursday, 10th May
A celebration of all things First Nations culture will be the focus of the Whadjuk Gift event. Our Year 5 students will be attending this special event at Mater Dei, where they will engage in a range of activities to deepen their understanding of First Nations heritage.
Parent-Teacher Meetings – 8th & 9th April
Parent-teacher meetings will take place next Tuesday and Wednesday. A reminder to please stick to your allocated time to ensure the meetings run smoothly. This is a great opportunity to reflect on student progress and discuss goals for the next term.
Reconciliation for Years 4-6 – Wednesday, 9th April
Students in Years 4-6 who have undertaken the Sacrament of Reconciliation will have the opportunity to participate in the sacrament with Father Leonard on Wednesday, 9th April. This is an important moment for reflection and spiritual growth.
Stations of the Cross – Thursday, 10th April
On the last week of term, Thursday, 10th April, we will gather in the hall for a Stations of the Cross prayer reflection. This will be a meaningful way to end the term and prepare for the Easter season.
Wishing everyone a great end to the term!
