A newsletter for Walnut Hills High School
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
October 18, 2024
Dear Walnut Hills High School Families:
Believe it or not, this week our students began their 2nd quarter of the school year. Time is flying by! Please be aware that grades will be finalized by the end of this week and made available on Focus for families to view October 21st at noon. Fall athletics are wrapping up and many of our sports are entering the State Tournament competition. We wish them all the best of luck! The 24-25 Walnut Hills Theatre Season opens this weekend with William Shakespeare's side-splitting comedy, Twelfth Night! All of our 7th grade students have an amazing opportunity to watch the show Monday during school and we are tremendously excited for them to have this experience. Tonight we will celebrate in a spooky fashion with the annual Boogie Bash for our 7th and 8th grade students. Tomorrow, the athletic department is hosting the annual Trunk-or-Treat from 1:00-3:00 PM. It is such a fun event to engage the entire community. We appreciate your continued support. Let’s rise to the highest!
Ashley Morgan
Interim Principal

Grade Discrepancies Between Focus and Canvas
Attention Parents/Guardians:
It has been brought to our attention that students can create hypothetical scores in Canvas by simply clicking on the number the teacher entered-- and entering any number that would create a "hypothetical score." Please know that the grade book of record is Focus-- not Canvas. Any changes made by students in Canvas will not be reflected in Focus. If you want to check how your student is doing, always check Focus.
