First grade is Fantastic!
We had an amazing first week!
The students did an amazing job during their first week of first grade! We learned many new classroom procedures and rules. We learned many facts about our new classmates. We learned that it is OK to make mistakes in school and to never up and ALWAYS try our best! We learned that we are all leaders of ourselves! We learned that first grade is going to be fantastic!
We played numerous games called find a friend.We had to find friends who followed certain traits.
We read the book First day jitters and discussed and charted if we had jitters starting our new school year! We made a special drink called jitter juice to get our nervous jitters away! Yum!
We love our new flexible seating in our classroom!
We read the book No David! We discussed our school and classroom rules and all of the Students should follow them!
We had fun learning to work as a team to create stem challenges using play dough. We made a marble maze!
The students worked as a team to complete a STEM challenge to build a pencil holder using a variety of materials! They completed a plan and then built the holder! Great teamwork and the outcome was exceptional!
Reminders and upcoming events:
- There will be no school on Friday and Monday due to the Labor Day Holiday.
- Please remember the academic day is from 8:30-3:30.
- Please pack your child a healthy snack everyday.
