Notes from East Hill Elementary

Message from East Hill Principal
Dear East Hill Elementary School Families,
We had a wonderful week of learning and experiences! Our first grade classes went on exciting field trips to Hospital Land, where they learned all about the different parts of a hospital and what happens when people visit. It was a great way for for students to become more familiar with healthcare in a fun and educational setting.
Our kindergarten classes had a special visit from Officer Clarke in the library, he read a story and talked to the students about the importance of lockdown drills. He explained how we practice these drills to keep everyone safe, the children were engaged and eager to learn.
Looking ahead, we are excited to kick off our annual PARP (Pick A Reading Partner) Reading Celebration next week! Be on the lookout for reading logs in your child's backpack. We encourage all families to participate and help foster a love of reading at home.
Many of you know that my son Evan (East Hill graduate!) is in the Air Force and stationed in Germany. We are so excited that Evan is getting married and our family will be traveling to celebrate this important event with him and his bride. In my absence, Mr. Leo will be at East Hill making sure things continue to run smoothly while I am gone.
Thank you for your continued support!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Susan Meskos
