NEWS FROM THE PANTHER DEN
WEEK 6 EDITION
WEEK 6 REFLECTION
Spirit Weeks are exhausting. Truth be told, they should be. The first Spirit Week of the year leading into our Homecoming Game was a tremendous success. Our senior class had been busy preparing themes, organizing events and getting ready for the Dance since late summer. It is always exciting seeing students and staff dressed up for daily themes. (Yes, the rumor is true, I actually did wear jeans for the country vs. country club theme. There may be a picture to prove it.) Hallway Decorating is always a great opportunity for grade levels to be together decorating the school for the Pep Rally. Our Fall Pep Rally honored our Senior Fall Athletes, the marching band and the Nocktaves. The Cheerleaders crushed their performance and the Seniors won a competitive battle of Tug-of-War versus the Freshmen. The National Honor Society held a Penny War competition, also won by the seniors, with all the money being donated to Breast Cancer Awareness and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Thursday Night PTHS girls soccer hosted their Pancreatic Cancer Awareness game and we had the Homecoming Dance with over 400 students dancing the night away. There were photo booths, video screens and even a dancing robot! (See the pictures below!) Tonight we will finish up Homecoming Week with our Homecoming Game versus Morris Catholic at 6:30 pm on Stadium Field. We will be honoring our Marching Band seniors and announcing the Homecoming King and Queen. Whew, what a week!
While it is always nice to have a "spirit week," as a Pequannock Community, let's keep the Blue and Gold spirit going every week as we celebrate our students, staff and community. If we are tired, it's okay, we've got Panther Spirit and that will see us through! Let's Go Panthers! #nocknation
