Week of December 2, 2024
Every student graduates ready to live, learn, and thrive in a global community
We hope everyone had a restful Thanksgiving break! This is a special time of year that allows us to reflect on what is important in our lives. We hope you were able to spend the time with those who are important to you. If you have not already, please check out the EASD website - there are several stories highlighting the altruistic endeavors of our students, staff, and schools. These stories demonstrate why Elizabethtown Area School District is a GREAT place to be!
We would like to especially recognize Dr. Jenn Fields, social worker for the Elizabethtown Area School District. She has been recognized as one of WGAL’s "8 Who Care Award" recipients for her work with The Bear Bags Food Program. To learn more and how to get involved, you can read more on the Bear Bags Food Program on the district website.
It is hard to believe it is December already and already ramping up for the holiday season. A week from today, we will be at the midpoint of Marking Period 2. Students should be connecting with teachers to ensure their grades are where they should be and all assignments are up to date. Please encourage your child to share their grades with you regularly and bring you into a conversation about their academic progress so far.
Have a good week!

Principal
GO BEARS!
Highlights from last week
- We opened our new Bear Beanery before break. Still working through some logistics - students should listen for announcements on how to get a morning beverage before Block 1.
- Student Council finished their annual food drive. All donations were made to local food banks.
- During FLEX - our Pep Club and Student Lighthouse Team created Tree of Giving that is on display in the Bear Lobby. Each leaf represents a show their gratitude by students and staff.
