Student Reminders
Recycling Reminders!
Red Wing High School’s Sustainability Club advocates for bettering our school’s sustainability and our community’s environment. For years, the recycling policy at RWHS has been unclear.
Aluminum, glass, and #1, #2, and #5 plastics go in the bottle-shaped recycling pins in the pod. You can tell what kind of plastic it is by the number on the bottom of the container! These need to be clean, not filled with food or liquid. This means juice cups can be recycled, so long as you take off the tin foil first!
Recycling bins in classrooms are only for paper products. If these rules are not followed, the entire bin will have to be thrown away since we can not sort through every single piece of recycling.
Following these simple rules can make a small difference that can lead to an even bigger impact, thanks to your help and effort! -RWHS Sustainability Club
