A Message From Mr. Hansel
Dear Students and Community Members,
As we continue this exciting chapter of our school year, I want to emphasize the importance of "showing up and showing out." Now, I know what you’re thinking—“Oh great, another speech!” But hang in there, because this one’s important.
Showing up means being present—not just physically (though we do appreciate seeing your bright and shiny faces in class), but mentally and emotionally as well. It means coming to school ready to engage, ready to learn, and ready to contribute. Whether it’s in the classroom, on the field, or at our extracurricular events, your presence and participation matter. Trust me, Netflix can wait—your friends and classmates need you here!
Showing out is all about excellence. It’s about putting forth your best effort in everything you do and representing our school with pride. Whether you’re taking a test, playing in a game, performing in a play, or participating in a club, do it with all your heart. After all, you never know who might be watching—future employers, your crush, or, most importantly, your mom.
And let’s not forget about the importance of showing up and showing out at our extracurricular events. Supporting your peers in their activities, whether it's sports, arts, or academic competitions, isn’t just a nice thing to do—it’s what makes us a strong community. Plus, where else can you cheer so loudly that you temporarily lose your voice and still call it school spirit?
Let’s commit to showing up and showing out every day. Together, we can achieve great things and make this year one to remember (in a good way, not in an “I wish I had done more” kind of way).
Thank you for your continued dedication, spirit, and sense of humor.
