Happy September Comets!

As the temperatures are starting to slightly dip below 100 degrees, we are looking forward to a busy and fun fall. We hope to see all of you tonight at Back To School Night and our first general membership meeting in the cafeteria. If you haven’t grabbed your FREE MAGNET with this year’s PTA Event Highlights, we’ll have them in the cafeteria for you to take home!

Also, if you haven’t already joined PTA, please find the link below and join. Membership gives you certain benefits, like access to our full website, early-bird event pricing, voting privileges and more. There are no membership requirements when you join, although we encourage every family to volunteer with PTA at least once during the school year. You’ll find a Volunteer section below with upcoming volunteer opportunities, which will update throughout the year.

Speaking of access to our full website, if you haven’t checked out our PTA website in the past two weeks, head over and see some of the updates we’ve made. We have streamlined the menu options and added some REALLY USEFUL information for you….like all of our staff favorites, event flyers, and more.

THANK YOU and WELCOME to everyone who has become a PTA Member for this school year. Our aim is to have every student represented by an active ADULT member, and we are getting close to our goal. It is $8 to become a member and instructions are below.

We are also very close to hitting our goal for the hassle free donation – these funds are essential to meet the needs for our students in the classroom, provide enrichment at each grade level, support our essentials (Art, Music and P.E.), library, counselor, intervention, field trip funding and so much more. We can’t thank this community enough for showing their support – whether a hassle free or whatever donation you choose to give – thank you, thank you, thank you.

You can join PTA as a member and make your Hassle Free Donation separately, or you can bundle them! A bundle includes TWO Adult Memberships for the 2024-2025 school year and your Hassle Free Donation for each of your students. https://canyoncreekpta.membershiptoolkit.com/packet/14106

The Hassle Free Donation alone does not include your PTA membership. If you do not “Bundle” the donation or select the $8 membership separately, then you haven’t joined the PTA!

After you’ve joined PTA, head over to Facebook and Join the Canyon Creek Elementary Facebook Group for the most up-to-date information on PTA activities and to share information and tips with our CCE community! This group is a private group for our community only, and only current PTA members will be approved into the group, so make sure that you’ve joined PTA first before requesting approval into the group.

Our first PTA General Meeting of the school year will be held TONIGHT, Thursday, September 5 at 6:00pm in the CCE cafeteria in between the Back to School information night sessions. Check the schedule for what times you should come for Back To School Night and then please join us at 6pm to learn about everything happening with the PTA!

Please join the Canyon Creek PTA to celebrate the first day of fall with a cereal bar and coffee! All students are encouraged to invite a grownup buddy and meet us by the picnic tables for breakfast before school. Your breakfast buddy can be a parent, a grandparent, or even a special friend.

RSVP!!

If you plan to come, we really need you to please let us know you are coming (takes about 10 sec), so that we will have enough breakfast for everyone. Please respond by Wednesday, September 11.

VOLUNTEER!!

We always need a small handful of volunteers to make this event successful! If you’re a morning person, this is the job for you!

Wow Comets! You really showed up BIG for our first CCE Spirit Night at Torchy’s and Handel’s. We hope it was a fun night of fun for you and your families. Your support earned $392 for the CCE PTA! Thanks for being COMET STRONG, ALL DAY LONG!

The 2024-2025 PTA Spirit Shirts are still for sale while supplies last, but some sizes are already sold out. If you still don't have your shirt yet, check the website to see if your size is still available and grab it today! Spirit Shirts ordered online will come home in backpacks from your student’s teacher after our regularly scheduled sorting days. Students should wear their Spirit Shirts every Friday to school, to off-campus field trips and anytime they want to show their Comet Spirit!

Have you seen our “Home of a CCE Comet” yard signs around the neighborhood and wished you had one? Show your Comet Spirit with a CCE Yard Sign! We only have a few signs left available for purchase.
