Greetings Panthers!!

This is just a reminder that school will be closed on Monday November 25th through Friday, November 29th for Thanksgiving Break. School will resume on Monday, December 2nd.

In this time of giving thanks, we give thanks for you, our Phillis Wheatley families, faculty and staff. I thank each of you for your ongoing support and your commitment to the scholars at Phillis Wheatley Elementary. Wishing you peace, love and joy this holiday season. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Gratitude

Definition: Being thankful and sharing it with others.

Strategies:

Write down things that you are grateful for. For example, keep a gratitude journal.
Students can engage in their school communities by helping out in the classroom or joining community activities.
Each day say thank you to someone.
Start each day by thinking about something you are thankful for.
Write a thank you note to someone.
Let a family member know you are grateful with a text message.

What's one kind or thoughtful thing someone did for you today?
How can I use technology to share messages of gratitude?
