A Message from Dr. G

This is my last newsletter as Principal of Walnut Creek Elementary. I wanted to thank all of you for your support, kindness, and for allowing me to be a part of your child's life. I have grown to love each and every one of them in the short time I have been here. The growth students have made has been incredible. My hopes are, the students and staff will continue to grow and excel to the potential we know they all have. I never say goodbye because you never know where life will lead. Have a great summer, read over the summer, and come back stronger than ever.

May 21- 4th Grade Field Trip to ATT Stadium

May 21- Yearbooks passed out

May 21- Buzzy Carnival Event

May 22- Kindergarten Program at 9 a.m. Classroom Party Day (See Below)

May 23- 4th Grade Graduation at 9:00 a.m. followed by clap out and Early Release for all students. Last Day of School. Dismissal at 11:40 am.

May 30- STAAR Scores will be sent to schools

Week of June 3-6- Parents will receive notification if their student did not pass STAAR. Fourth graders who did not pass two years in a row will be contacted for an Accelerated Education Plan.

SKYWARD COMING TO AZLE ISD

Be on the lookout this summer for an email from Skyward. We are switching over our Student Information System to Skyward. This is where returning registration will occur.

CENTRAL Registration will be on July 23rd this year. Please check your email and Facebook for announcements.

4th Grade Celebration Party

Our 4th graders have a tradition of spending the day with their teachers at the park on May 22. We ask that this event only be for teachers and their students. We will get to celebrate with families on May 23 at the graduation and clap out.
