A Message from Mrs. McMullan
Dear Pine Road Families,
You will notice that this newsletter is packed with valuable information about upcoming school events! From our annual Veteran's Day breakfast, to American Education Week, to conferences, you will have multiple opportunities to visit our building in November. We look forward to welcoming you!
Our traditional Halloween Parade and Fall Festival classroom parties are quickly approaching! These special events will take place on Thursday, October 31st. Please note that there is no school on Friday, November 1st.
Our parade will start promptly at 9:50 am. Be sure to line the parade route to get the best view of your child(ren). Please review the map below and note that the route includes the car line loop.
As a reminder, all parents/guardians will need to coordinate with the homeroom parent(s) to attend classroom parties. Only parents/guardians who have been pre-selected to volunteer will be permitted in the building that day. Additionally, all costumes should be school appropriate. Offensive slogans, weapons, and expressions/themes of violence are not permitted.
Thank you for your support in making this event a fun and memorable one for our students!
If at any time you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me through email (kmcmullan@lmtsd.org) or phone (215-938-0290 ext. 6025).

We are very proud of the students on buses 23 and 12. They work hard to follow our five Pine Road bus rules everyday!
Red Ribbon Week
Veteran's Day Breakfast
We will be hosting our fifth “Here’s to the Heroes: Veterans Day” at Pine Road! This event will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM.
Our celebration will include light breakfast options for the student and their veteran guest, as well as a brief program honoring and thanking our veterans for their service. Please note, this event is just for students and their veteran guest! Please read more here and don't forget to RSVP!
Fall Book Fair
Our Fall Book Fair will be Out of this World! The Book Fair will run November 6th-November 13th. Students will visit the book fair during their library encore class period. Our evening fair will take place on Wednesday, November 6th from 4:00-8:00 pm. All families, friends, and community members are welcome to visit the evening fair!
We need some volunteers to help make our book fair a success! Please consider signing up here.
Please check our Book Fair Website for more information on how to sign up for eWallet as well as the opportunity to preview some of the books that will be featured at the fair.
American Education Week
Pine Road celebrates American Education week by inviting parents/guardians into our classrooms. This is an excellent opportunity to observe class community and instruction, as well as interact with your child(ren). Please be sure to RSVP by November 15th!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher conferences will be here before we know it! We welcome parents/guardians to attend an in-person, phone, or virtual fall conference. Conferences will be held on the afternoon of November 25th, the afternoon/evening of November 26th, and the morning of November 27th.
Teachers will communicate directly with parents/guardians to share information about conference sign-ups. Please be aware that all requests will be handled on a "first-come, first-served" basis, and that siblings’ conferences cannot necessarily be scheduled consecutively given the limited scheduling times. Conference time slots will be 15-minutes long. Please expect a communication from teachers on Wednesday, November 6th.
We look forward to discussing your child’s progress and celebrating their success!
October Serving Learning Project
The October Pine Road Service Learning Project is “making a difference” by donating Halloween candy to troops overseas and their families. The Philadelphia USO is glad to accept our candy donations for distribution.
Any type of wrapped candy should be sent to school no later than Wednesday, November 6th. Please note that the deadline for collection has been extended by two days. We will have collection boxes in the lobby. Thank you for supporting this service learning project!
November Food Drive
The Lower Moreland Township School District is proud to support families in need this holiday season through our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, which will be held November 4th - November 16th.
All items are being collected to support families in our community who are experiencing hardships this season. We are asking each grade to bring in different items so that we can provide families with a complete Thanksgiving meal basket and care package. Donations are designated by grade level. Students may bring in donations and drop them off in the collection box located in their grade level’s hallway. Details can be found here.
Thank you in advance for your generosity during the holiday season!
