Dear Parents/Carers,
Happy Friday! Time is flying in school this term as we make plans for the lead up to
Christmas and beyond.
The Christmas card shop has re-opened today and will close again at noon on
Monday 25 th November. Some of the goodies have already been delivered and they
seem to be of great quality and a good choice of products.
Monday saw Mrs Bembridge lead the school in our Remembrance worship. Children
were incredibly respectful and observed the minute silence. Poppies will return home
today with a certificate of commendation for those who took part.
The Christmas card competition was judged today – I pity Mrs Westfeld having to
make a decision as they were all amazing. Well done to all who have entered.
Big thanks go to Year 5 for the thought-provoking worship they planned and
presented on climate change. There were strong arguments made, artwork shared
and they even did a rap!
The school Governors have started their visits into school to speak with subject
leaders about the implementation of each subject. They have been impressed so far
with the subject knowledge and passion of our staff – I am so proud!
Today I have met with the Head of Operations for the STAR MAT who has been
talking me through some exciting IT developments that will develop access to
resources for our children in the future. This is another way working as a MAT helps
us improve outcomes for our children.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mel Walmsley

Message from Head Pupils
We’ve had a wonderful week. Firstly, year 4 enjoyed our brand new forest school today. All the other classes are excited to get out and explore the new area next week. On the 11th November we held a two minute silence to remember all of the soldiers that lost their lives in the wars. Today in our assembly, the winners of the Christmas card competition were announced. Congratulations to all the people who took part. Have a great weekend!
Head pupil awards go to Isla B (Y6) and Isaac (Y1)
Bella and Ollie
Cloakroom Award
Lunchtime Awards
Thank you to Mila (Y4) for helping us all to enjoy our lunchtime in the dinner hall.
