Roger's Fundraiser: The fourth Tuesday of every month is a Fernan fundraiser (Post Falls-Sherman is being remodeled)! We can earn 20% of receipt sales. Vouchers are being sent home this week.

Between 3-3:30 we have several students being checked out early daily. We truly value each and every moment with your child. We are trying to eliminate the amount of disruptions to your child's class, and it effects teaching and learning. Please only check them out early if it's a 'must'. We appreciate your cooperation.

Book Fair is coming! It will be held in the Library from Monday, October 23rd and ends Friday, October 27th. Please consider helping out during your child's class time or any other time. Help is especially needed early Wednesday morning for the Grand Shopping Spree and on Thursday night during Spooky STEM Night!

After you choose a slot, please fill out the District Volunteer Form (even if you did it last year, it has to be done EVERY YEAR)

Employment Opportunity Information

POSITION: Behavior Support Assistant (PT 19.75 hrs/wk)

LOCATION: Fernan Elementary

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To foster leadership skills and help students resolve personal, emotional and social problems that may interfere with their adjustment to school or their ability to achieve academic success.

QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Counseling or related field, successful experience working with at-risk students, and must be able to work as a positive team player. Candidates must be Highly Qualified per the Federal Government standards. (Must have an AA degree or higher, or at least 32 academic semester credits from an accredited college or university, or have passed the Paraprofessional Praxis Exam).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Candidates must have vision and hearing to successfully supervise, manage, and assist school-aged students.
