Brief Message From the Principal

Dear Altoona Elementary Community,

Thank you so much for taking the time to come in for our spring conferences! It was so great to see all who could make it! We are so proud of our students who were brave and had their first student-led conference! Well done to all who did! Spring Break is here! No matter your plans, we hope you have a safe and enjoyable break. When our students return, we’ll hit the ground running with a busy and productive two and a half months filled with learning and assessments. We are confident our students will achieve great growth!

Important Schedule Reminders:

Friday, March 14: No School
Spring Break: Friday, March 14 – Sunday, March 23
Classes Resume: Monday, March 24

As we transition into spring, learning remains our top priority. Our teachers are working hard to maximize instructional time, and we appreciate your support in keeping students engaged and focused. Please continue encouraging your child to do their best and follow our RAMS WAY expectations at school.

Attendance is also crucial to student success. Some families may have received attendance letters due to updated attendance laws. While we understand that illnesses occur, we encourage students to be present as much as possible—every day in school matters! Our collective efforts are making a difference—see the attendance update below.

Finally, I want to express my sincere gratitude for sharing your children with us. It is a privilege to partner with you in their education. Your support and collaboration make our school a place where every student can thrive.
