Dear Parents,

I have attached our monthly calendar for November 2024 to this letter. Here is a brief description of last month’s highlights and coming events:

October Highlights

• · Thank you to our room parents for the time and effort they put into planning the carnival, recruiting volunteers and securing prizes as well as working their own tables during the event.
• · Special thanks to Edward and Catherine Granados, owners of El Paso Brisket, and family for providing a delicious brisket meal. 295 brisket tickets were sold.
• · Thank you everyone who volunteered time, donated cakes, baked goods or prizes, and sold their raffle tickets and turned in money in a timely manner
• · Thank you 8th grade students, parents and teachers, for putting on a successful haunted house.
• · Thank you to Gorman Distributors for donating two 50 inch TV’s, and to various donors for donating $4,000 worth of gift cards and Dallas Cowboy tickets for the raffle.
• · A financial report will be available as soon as all figures are verified

Coming Events

• · We will have school mass for All Saints Day Friday, November 1st, at 8:15 AM. Students will be allowed to dress as Saints.
• · We have an “ofrenda” in the front of the school displaying pictures of our deceased loved ones for Dia de Los Muertos. If you have a picture you would like to submit please do so. Please put your name and phone number on the back so that we can return it to you when the display is finished.
• Diocese Football playoffs begin Saturday, November 2nd. MHT plays St. Patrick at 8:00 AM at St. Matthew. The winner plays St. Matthew at 9:15 AM. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students. Come out and cheer your Crusaders on to victory. Good luck, GO CRUSADERS!
• · Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday November 3rd , at 2:00 AM. Don't forget to set your clocks back!
• · Tuesday, November 5th, is Election Day. VOTE!
• · Room Parents will meet Wednesday, November 6th at 6 PM in the faculty room.
• · 8th grade parents who have a daughter who was interested in attending Loretto, there will be an information session for parents Wednesday, November 6th at 6:00 PM in the eighth grade classroom.
• · · Most Holy Trinity will be hosting the JV volleyball tournament November 7th through 14th. JV White and JV Red will be entered. Admission is $2 for adults, -MHT students will be free. Come out and cheer our Crusaders on to victory. Good luck, GO CRUSADERS!
• We will have school mass Friday, November 8th, at 8:15 AM. We will recognize all of our veterans during mass, followed by a reception for our veterans in Father Tom Hall. All veterans are invited to attend.
• · 8th grade students will hike Mount Cristo Rey with Father Mike Friday, November 8th, after mass.
• · We will have a school holiday Monday, November 11th, in honor of veteran's day.
• · Progress reports will go out Tuesday November 12th.
• There will be an 8th Grade parent meeting Thursday, November 14th at 6:00 PM. to plan our annual Posada and Craft Fair
• · All parents are invited to attend and have Thanksgiving lunch with your children on Friday, November 15th . The cost will be $9 per adult and $3 per any children who do not attend our school. Our lunch schedule will be announced later this month. We hope everyone will attend. You may sign out your children after you are finished eating lunch.
• · Third and Fourth Grade will be hosting a bake sale November 16 and 17 after all masses. We are hoping to raise $400 each for Mrs. Cepeda and Mrs. Rocha to buy materials for their classrooms.
• · Our school board will meet Wednesday, November 20th , at 6:00 PM in the teacher room.
• · School Science Fair will be Thursday, November 21st for all students.
• · We will have early release on Friday November 22nd at 1:00 PM. NO aftercare this day.
• · We will have Thanksgiving holidays November 25th through 29th. The office will be closed all week. Classes for students will resume Monday, December 2nd .

Adjunto a esta carta nuestro calendario mensual para noviembre de 2024. Aquí hay una breve descripción de los aspectos más destacados del mes pasado y los próximos eventos:

Lo más destacado de noviembre

• Gracias a los padres de nuestro salón por el tiempo y esfuerzo que pusieron en planificar el carnaval, reclutar voluntarios y asegurar premios, así como trabajar en sus propias mesas durante el evento.

• El horario de verano finaliza el domingo 3 de noviembre a las 2:00 a.m. ¡No olvides retrasar tus relojes!

• Most Holy Trinity será el anfitrión del torneo de voleibol JV del 7 al 14 de noviembre. Se inscribirán JV White y JV Red. La entrada cuesta $2 para adultos, -los estudiantes de MHT entrarán gratis. Sal y anima a nuestros cruzados hasta la victoria.

• El martes 5 de noviembre es el día de las elecciones. ¡VOTAR!

• Tendremos misa escolar el viernes 8 de noviembre a las 8:15 a.m. Reconoceremos a todos nuestros veteranos durante la misa, seguida de una recepción para nuestros veteranos en el Father Tom Hall. Todos los veteranos están invitados a asistir.

• Los estudiantes de 8º grado caminarán por el Monte Cristo Rey con el Padre Mike el viernes 8 de noviembre, después de misa.

• Tendremos un feriado escolar el lunes 11 de noviembre, en honor al día de los veteranos.

• Los informes de progreso se enviarán el martes 12 de noviembre.

• Todos los padres están invitados a asistir y almorzar el Día de Acción de Gracias con sus hijos el viernes 15 de noviembre. El costo será de $9 por adulto y $3 por cualquier niño que no asista a nuestra escuela. Nuestro horario de almuerzo se anunciará a finales de este mes. Esperamos que todos asistan. Thank you everyone for your effort to sell tickets and your support of our school.

• Daily Movement: Aim for at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day. This could include dancing, biking, playing sports, or just a fun game of tag.
• Family Outings: Plan family walks, hikes, or bike rides. Being active as a family not only sets a great example but also strengthens family bonds.
• Screen-Free Play: Reduce screen time to encourage more active play. Activities like gardening or obstacle courses can be a lot of fun and engaging for kids.

1. Movimiento diario: intente realizar al menos 60 minutos de actividad física cada día. Esto podría incluir bailar, andar en bicicleta, practicar deportes o simplemente un divertido juego de mancha.
