On Friday, November 5, 2021, CSA Lincoln Elementary was honored in Washington D.C. at the National Blue Ribbon School Program. German American Bank and the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) have partnered together to introduce three new School Spirit Check Cards featuring the Columbus North Bull Dogs, Columbus East Olympians, and CSA New Tech Dragons. These three School Spirit Check Cards give the community a unique opportunity to give back to their schools.

Two cents of every purchase made using the School Spirit Check Card will directly impact students with proceeds to benefit the Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation (BCSF). The BCSC lineup of cards is available to any new or existing German American Bank checking account customer.

“The Columbus community has an immense sense of pride in our local schools and continues to show their commitment to giving students opportunities to succeed,” said BCSC Superintendent Jim Roberts. “These cards give BCSC supporters an amazing opportunity to show their pride for their individual schools while giving back to the school district. The two cents from each purchase will directly benefit the students and teachers we serve and will make a positive impact on their educational experience.”

Cardholders will be able to use their School Spirit Cards anywhere Visa cards are accepted. Whether used at gas stations, movie theatres, grocery stores, online or any other purchases, two cents of every transaction will go directly to the Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation.

“German American Bank is excited to welcome the Columbus North Bull Dogs, Columbus East Olympians, and CSA New Tech Dragons into our School Spirit Card Program,” shared Jeremy Foster, German American Bank Market President. “Year to date in 2021, we have donated over $55,000 to schools participating in the School Spirit Card Program throughout our German American Bank footprint. We are eager to make a direct impact by supporting BCSC schools with this program.”

In order to participate, open a checking account by visiting any Columbus German American Bank office or open an account online at germanamerican.com/open. Be sure to request the Columbus North, Columbus East, or CSA New Tech School Spirit Card and begin using your check card for everyday purchases. Existing German American customers who wish to switch their check card to their BCSC School Spirit Card of choice can do so by visiting their local banking office.

Throughout the school year, each of our 11 elementary schools will be featured on an EBL Game of The Week Live Stream presented by Force Construction Company. During the second week of EBL, BCSC live streamed the Parkside-Clifty Creek matchup featuring the girls, boys, and cheerleaders.
