#PhoenixRising CK @ LAA Youth Conference (Thanks Mr. Eismeier)
On Saturday, Communities in School and The Latino Youth Leadership Academy teamed up to take 20 CK students to The Latin American Association's Youth Conference at Georgia Gwinnett College.
Students had workshops about the path to college and tech school. They also got to visit a college and career fair and explore the campus.
Senior Mayra Garcia won a new iPad with her "Best Social Media Post" of the day connected to the conference's themes.

Student Assignment Project (SAP) Survey
The Student Assignment Project (SAP) committee is meeting to review buildings, boundaries, and programs. We need your input and thoughts to make informed decisions. The committee has only met twice, and we have been exploring lots of DCSD data. We will continue to meet for the next 16 months until we develop recommendations for buildings, boundaries, and programs.
Your input is valuable and needed in this process!
20 Under 20 - Please Nominate One of Our Many Exceptional Students!
Rough Draft is now accepting nominations for its annual 20 under 20 issue, where they honor exceptional students in the community. The honorees will appear in the January 2025 print issues of Atlanta Intown and the Reporter Newspapers.
Rough Draft is looking for local students ages 19 and younger who have contributed significantly to the community. Nominations are welcome from teachers, counselors, administrators, parents, siblings, fellow students or community leaders.
Send nominations to Collin Kelley at collin@roughdraftatlanta.com and follow the submission guidelines below by Nov. 20, 2024.

- Characteristics and service: Please provide a paragraph describing why this nominee deserves recognition. Include service projects, goals, and areas of interest to help illustrate your point.
