Lions Leading- Culturally Responsive Teaching Practices!
Thank you!
We are excited to celebrate the incredible culturally responsive teaching strategies happening in our classrooms! Mrs. Howard and Mrs. Greenfield are engaging students in meaningful learning experiences that honor their voices and perspectives.
Mrs. Howard encouraged students to take ownership of their learning by crafting their own interactive notebooks, carefully organizing notes on important story elements in a way that makes sense to them.
Mrs. Greenfield empowered students to share their unique experiences by guiding them through the process of writing and drafting personal narratives, helping them develop their storytelling skills and confidence.
These strategies not only deepen students' understanding but also celebrate their individuality and creativity. We are so proud of the thoughtful instruction happening at Lincoln Middle!
Thank you for your continued support in fostering a vibrant and inclusive learning community.

Lincoln Middle School is working with the Holocaust Museum of Los Angeles https://www.holocaustmuseumla.org/programs to host a special event on Thursday, February 27 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM in the Lincoln Cafeteria. "L’Dough v Dough Kneading Connections" celebrates storytelling and provides the rare opportunity for participants to make challah bread with a Holocaust survivor. While braiding the dough, students and their families will have the opportunity to hear a survivor’s firsthand account of his or her experiences. It is a fantastic event that is open to all Lincoln students and their families. Younger and older siblings are welcome! If you are interested, the sign-up link is here. I hope to see you there! During these sessions, students will receive important information about their options and guidance on selecting courses that align with their interests and academic goals.
We encourage you to talk with your student about their choices, and as always, our counseling team is available to answer any questions.
Thank you for your support as we help our students plan for a successful year ahead!
Jazz Reach!
Thank you!
We want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible Music Coordinator, Mr. Tom Whaley, for organizing the inspiring Jazz Reach assembly for our students! This event was a fantastic opportunity to experience the power of jazz and celebrate the rich Black history of music that has shaped so many genres we love today.
We are grateful for the arts and the ways they connect us, inspire us, and teach us valuable lessons beyond the classroom.
