Dear Parents and Guardians,

We have two full weeks of learning left before we wrap up 2024. Please send your students to school any day that they are not sick, and don't hesitate to reach out if there are ways we can help your family with school attendance.

I hope your winter holiday plans are filled with family time and rest. There will be 16 non-school days before we see you back on January 6th. I encourage you to limit the amount of time your student is in front of screens. We know that independent play is really important for students' cognitive, social, and emotional development. Independent play is independent of adult direction and is best when it includes peers of similar age. I also encourage you to make good use of sunny moments and send your student outside to play.

We are still a little low on student snacks. We are happy to take extra snacks you have at home, or you can order some from our Atkinson Student Snack Wishlist. Growing kids thank you!

Our next Dine Out for Atkinson is at Pizzeria Otto on Tuesday, December 10th. Pizzeria Otto will donate 50% of sales to Atkinson PTA! Dine-in, take-out, delivery, and even online gift certificate purchases count towards the donation! Pizzeria Otto, 7122 SE Foster St. Open 11am-9pm.
