RES Weekly Buzz
March 7, 2025
We had a terrific week at RES. Our NED Moments bulletin boards are beginning to get covered with NED awards recognizing students for their persistence in Never Giving Up, Encouraging Others and Doing Their Best! Once students earn one of these awards, they get an award stapled on the bulletin board, a larger paper award to bring home, and a green NED bracelet. Our goal is for ALL our students to earn a NED award before the end of the school year. We know they can do it!
Our teachers attended a Tuesday afternoon of professional development focused on Foundational Reading Skills for All led by Jodi Goodhue. This time allowed teachers to practice hands-on activities and experience what it is like to be a student during a literacy lesson—many thanks to the teachers for participating in the activities and some excellent group discussion.
Looking forward to seeing the kids on Monday for what we hope will be a warmer and sun-filled week with ALL recess blocks outside!
Happy Weekend,
Amy
