Count Down to Winter Break

Dessau Elementary Teachers and students are counting down the days to Winter Break by dressing up each day! Please join in the fun and help your student dress up each day!

Fun Activities Coming Up!

Winter Spirit Parade Sing Along

The winter spirit parade sing along is coming up soon!! On Thursday, December 17th, students will stroll the halls singing carols and ringing bells to other classrooms. This will be done by grade level so that everyone has a chance to enjoy both watching and participating in the fun. After the parade, they will enjoy a sweet treat when they return to class. Students should dress in their school/holiday spirit attire!


Movie Night

Join us for a movie night hosted by the PTO after literacy night. Starting at 6:00 head to the cafeteria for a fun filled movie night! Concessions will be available for sale along with Marcos pizza!!

PTO has donated a new “friendship bench” for all to use!

Operation Campus Clean Up!

Operation “campus clean” up went off without a hitch over the Thanksgiving break. PTO, 4th grader, Hannah and two Weiss high school color guard members came together to help spruce up our campus. They filled a lot of big bags of garbage and yard debris and even found a new friend that looked oddly familiar next to our own dragon!

Name Our New Baby Dragons!

Exciting news!! After clearing the litter and leaves we were thrilled to find 5 baby dragons had hatched out of their eggs!! We are going to be holding a dragon naming contest. The winners will win a pizza party for their class. Look for the voting sheet coming soon!!
