This week, we have had our Healthy Body and Minds Week in school. The pupils have thoroughly enjoyed accessing a range of different sports alongside furthering their understanding of the importance of being healthy both in body and mind. Thank you to the staff who put on a range of different morning activities to get both parents and pupils ready for the day!
I was particularly proud of how the pupils supported each other in their races during Sports Day. Their comradery and team spirit was excellent as they encouraged each other on. Thank you to all parents and carers who attended and spurred the pupils on from the sidelines. I was grateful that the weather held and we were able to enjoy the event.
A Few Memorable Moments
On Tuesday and Wednesday evening, our Drama Club put on their production of Joseph. The club has been splendidly led by Miss Howard and Mrs Law since January with the pupils and staff remaining in school each Friday night to practise - which shows immense dedication. Their performances were out of this world! I was so proud of the confidence and talent the pupils showed. It was clear how much everyone enjoyed themselves. Thank you to all the staff involved, to the pupils for putting on such an amazing spectacle and to the parents who supported us by attending and helping the pupils to learn their words. Thank you to Mrs Harris for her support with set scenery and to Mrs Hunter and Mrs Millard for their advertising publications.
